Introduction

Keeping Children Safe in Education is a statutory guidance document which identifies education settings as an important part of the wider safeguarding system for children. It recognises its staff as being in a position to identify concerns early, provide help for children, and prevent concerns from escalating. The Statutory Framework sets out the legal framework for safeguarding in Early Years settings and the information and resources on these safeguarding pages support that.

In the first instance please always discuss your concern with a designated safeguarding officer who is trained to support you.

The following are key documents relating to Child protection and safeguarding children.
